When you're the diva princess mascot of an online magazine for dogs like Pampered Puppy, nearly every day is like your birthday (or so Merry tells me). This was never more true than when we received a doggie care package from Chez Puppy for Merry. The entire box was just packed full of things for Merry to wear, play with, and pig out on. In other words, it was a perfect day for the puppy.
The first item we reviewed was a stunning Rosaline necklace. Made of pink Swarovski pearls and interspersed with rhinestone rhondelles, it was even more breathtaking than our pictures can show. It was a lovely, solid weight unlike many "pearl" necklaces for dogs on the market today. The pink was a lovely shade, just light enough to retain its classic look. Chez Puppy was even so kind as to send along a matching Mommy bracelet for me (not pictured).
I have to say that I was so impressed with the workmanship and quality of the jewelry that I ended up ordering a custom matching necklace for myself. These is incredible jewelry, with very reasonable pricing. I highly recommend it for both dogs and owners.
Next, Chez Puppy sent along three different sets of treats for the princess pug. As most pug owners will tell you, treats are the way to a pug's heart. I could barely get Merry to sit still through the photo shoot without attacking the boxes whole.
The treats included Bistro Beef "Kitty Cat Krunchies", C'est Cheese "Barking Up The Right Palm Tree" and Viva la Paw-Nut Butter "It's A Girl Chezgars". Merry loved them all - and has been working her way through them in record time. But I must say that her favorite (and mine, simply because they were so delectably cute) were the Chezgars (cigar-shaped treats). The packaging was a riot; they come wrapped up just like cigars. And Merry was all over herself with the peanut butter-y taste.
Best of all, the treats aren't loaded with unhealthy ingredients. They're made with high quality all-natural ingredients such as whole wheat flour, flax seed, oats, vitamin E, wheat germ oil, lavender flowers, garlic and parsley. So the princess could enjoy these treats without her Mom worrying about what they'll do to her little pug body (after all, the diva must keep her girlish figure!).
Finally, Chez Puppy sent along a lovely little bone toy for Merry to play with. Due to a technical glitch, I wasn't able to get a photo of her playing with it, but you can see what it looks like in the photo above. Merry's all about dog toys, and this one has become a fast favorite. It's made from a combination of lilac and pink chenille, complete with squeaker. And this is one famous toy: it's featured on Fox's "The Simple Life 2" with Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie.
Merry and I loved the care package from Chez Puppy and look forward to enjoying our pearls and toy for a long time to come (the treats, I'm sad to say, won't last very long around this pug).
