Turning a mess of tangles and fuzz into a glamorous doggie hairdo is a tall order. Most times we resort to shipping our pup off to the groomers for an expensive do-over. But we've got some new ammunition. Pet Head has full line of grooming goodies. There's Poof! the magic deodorizing spray in a nifty Asian pear scent and we love the line of shampoos like Life's an Itch for sensitive skin and Fears for Tears a hypoallergenic shampoo that is extra gentle and sulfate free. Turning a chore into something fun--that makes us smile. While most pups relish a brushing session ("more on the tummy mom!"), for pet parents it can get a tad monotonous. Ginger reporting. You know, I'm the spoiled big city Sheltie. I love to vacation in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, Quebec in spring, sniffing the blossoms on the blueberry bushes. My human has even given me gourmet blueberry treats; you can believe I've licked crumbs from those off my whiskers, daintily of course. Not that I could really explain what a polyphenol antioxidant is, but I understand they protect health. Human experiments have proven that true, in fact. I don't really approve of experiments on humans, but sometimes if they can help dogkind, what is a barker to do? Dogs often find a special little nest in the home to make their own. Perhaps its a slip covered chair, dog bed or cozy blanket. Whatever the item, months and years of love often leave it a bit--shall we say pungent. That's were The Laundress comes in. We of course know that your dog never ever has a dirty little fur face but thought you might like to know what's available for the poor little doggies that do have dirty little fur faces. Furfection also talks about "embarrassing beard stains," but who ever has those? The product is a gentle, tear-free liquid cleanser with moisturizers to condition and protect a doggy's skin. We can't wait to try the no-rinse cleaning spritz which promises to remove stains and deodorize our pups. Like all Kiehl's products, consumers can rest assured that there is zero tolerance at Kiehl's when it comes to testing on animals.
Dog fur colorings
Pastels for Pets let you give your canine companion a little extra pizzazz for struttin' her stuff around the neighborhood and on the doggie fashion catwalk. Available tints that work best for lighter colored dogs are green, turquoise, violet, fuchsia and pink. Then there are crystalline stencil colors that show up on all fur shades: pearl pink, pearl blue, gold, silver and sparkles. Two stencils are currently to be had, with more promised for the future; I (heart) U and a heart symbol.
