While cruising Etsy (the place for all things handmade) over the weekend, we found a treasure at the Bella Vita Pet shop--the Chow Chair. Dreamed up by a crafty Texan, these chairs are constructed of solid East Texas pine. Then the artist painstakingly hand paints and personalizes (with a wood cutout) each feeder. This elevated bog bowl deserves a place of honor in your home. We think the classic argyle print and rich tones are too handsome. And yes, they are practical. Did we mention lately how addicted we are to Etsy? No? It's a terrible, terrible addiction, requiring just a little more time out of us each and every week. The latest find? Modern pet parents have to be creative. We're on the move keeping up with business, family and friends. In between all this racing around, it's all too easy to forget about the needs of our dogs. We've long been fans of the tasties from Kool Dog Cafe. They use only the most nutritious ingredients and whip up their canine cookies and cakes every day (what our dog wouldn't give to be included in the canine sampling team). We're going to order this amazing three tier Christmas Treat Tower today so we can start doling out goodies all month long. The tower is filled with Christmas themed cookies from the Grinch Green and Snow collection. We know we'll be the most "pupular" house on the street earning lots of drop-in visits and swinging tails from our furry friends.

Let's face it; if we were starving and our foodbowl were down on the floor, we would eat out of it, even if it were in a wretchedly uncomfortable position vis-a-vis our neck and even if we did look uncouth eating in that position. But we are such lucky dogs! Our humans would never think of making us grovel for food. (Begging is another question; sometimes that's a fun trick, you know! Woof!) The Capitol Dog Bakery biscuits are peanut butter and honey flavored and made with organic ingredients. That's one health reform we can all support.
Autumnal dog treats
The bakers at Kool Dog Kafe never run out of ways for pet parents to spoil their pups. This fall they're offering two kinds of incredible dog nibbles that will guarantee to get dogs drooling. In our neighborhood, the four-legged trick or treaters be getting Witch Hat cookies.
