Oh how we love curling up on the sofa with a glass of red wine and a good book. At the end of a long day, this moment of solitude and comfort seems to melt away all the stresses of the day. This really is a treasure for some lucky little (ideal for pups 15 lbs and under) prince or princess.
Mansion-like doghouse
If you're like us the recent economic crisis has put the kabosh on thoughts of buying a larger home. That doesn't mean we've been priced out of all the new digs on the market. We just have to downsize when we upsize. The new Fairmont dog house designed by Australian company, P&K Pethouse Designs, is the answer to our financially modified prayers. Like our spacious fantasy castle, this pet version has the the finest workmanship (check out the shingled roof) and loads of details (even the walls are grooved for an authentic weather board look). We plan to add a personalized name plate to this spacious pet castle--making delaying our own wishes of home ownership a tad easier to defer.

Fine furnishings have been making their way into the pet marketplace for years. Slowly we've seen the tide turn from scant offerings for pet owners with a flair for interiors to a marketplace full of fabrics and furniture we are proud to show off. Trying to manage work and family can wear a pet parent out. It doesn't look good for us being able to grab a much needed nap any time soon. So we'll just have to sleep vicariously. Hola! Gingera, the spoiled big city Shetland Sheep-perra here, with news that there's talk, or should I say bark, of a K-9 remake of Woody Allen's movie Vicky Christina Barcelona. I'm not waiting for that, sin embargo (that's Spanish for however), to add some continental Spanish pizzazz to my life of luxury. You have got to see the dog furniture from The Cool Dog, a company based in Spain. Their site is particular, sort of like me, except that you don't have to turn off your pop-up blocker to look at me, necessarily. This snazzy, state-of-the-art perro furniture is turning up wherever people and their dogs are cool, from the Costa del Sol to La Jolla and beyond. What does it tell you that the Top Madrid website has run a full piece on The Cool Dog?
