A dog that went missing in the race sled that was held last Friday in Alaska was found alive and well right about 400 miles away.
Nine year old May wondered away from the team when the leader of the sled stopped to help another participant in the Iditorod race.
As soon as he realized that he stayed without the dog, he alerted the organizers, and they went in search while involving even the rescuers in helicopters.
Many believed that the dog has been attacked by wolves or hat May died somewhere in the wild, but he mysteriously appeared six days later.
May had injuries on the feet and lost a lot of weight but was otherwise in good condition.
Stan Smith, who is now helping her to recover, said that she managed to cross a whopping 400 miles.
