Travel Thursday: Pet friendly Washington DC

There are a lot of cities in the US that are willing to welcome and accept any animal with open arms. One of those cities is the Washington DC, so if you are planning to travel there in the near future, you will be glad to know that there are plenty of pet friendly facilities where you and your pooch can enjoy together.

It doesn’t matter at what time of the year you are traveling to Washington DC, as you will be surprised with how many different activities it has for both you and your dog.

First of all, a lot of restaurants will allow you to take your dog with you inside and will offer him even a cocktail. Now what you say about that? Some of the bars/restaurants even have doggy happy hour offers which consist mainly of treats and fresh water for your pet.

And if you like to spend more time outdoors, then you should definitely visit one of the many Washington DCs parks. In some, your dog can even run without a leash, so it will give him plenty of freedom to do what he wants to do.

Taking a hike is also not such a bad idea. You and your dog can visit the Great Falls, a national park with its amazing waterfalls. This is a pet friendly park, but which doesn’t mean that your dog can walk in there without a leash.

As you can see, your dog doesn’t need to be left in the kennel after you decide to go somewhere on holidays, as there are a lot of places where he is equally excepted and welcome just as you are.
