Image Guidelines

  1. Up to five (5) images may be submitted per person (NOT per dog).
  2. JPEG format only. Grayscale or Colour (RGB). Minimum size: 8 x 10" or 800 x 600 pixels.
  3. Important: ensure you have a high-resolution version of each image that you submit (uncompressed TIFF or maximum quality JPEG, Grayscale or Colour (RGB), 300 dpi with a minimum final print size of 8 x 10"). Should any of your images be selected as a winning entry, the high-resolution version will be required. Failing to provide a high-resolution version could compromise your win.
  4. All photographers must hold copyright to their submitted images.
  5. Unfortunately, we cannot accept mailed submissions. All submissions are by email only.

Fees
There are no fees; it is free to enter up to five (5) images.
Eligibility
Outstanding Dog Photography 2008 is sponsored by Pampered Media Corporation (Pampered Puppy), Funny Fur Inc., Fun Dog Fred, FouFou Dog, Furry Friends Web Design, Wooflink, A Pet's World, Room Candy and Happytails Canine Spa Inc. This contest is organized and conducted by Pampered Media Corporation, publisher of PamperedPuppy.com and winners will be determined by Pampered Media Corporation (Pampered Puppy), Sharon Montrose, Erin Vey, Mark Asher, Grace Chon, and Ixiana Hernandez. You must be 16 years of age or older. Employees and immediate families of Pampered Media Corporation, sponsoring firms and contest judges are ineligible for this contest. Participants are eligible to win either the Grand Prize, one category prize or honorable mention prize and cannot win more than one of the prizes offered. ODP 2008 is open to all residents of Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom, except where prohibited by law.
Deadline
The contest deadline is 11:59pm Eastern Time on November 15, 2008.
How Winners Are Determined
Judging will be blind (no names or indentifying data will be used during the judging process). Pampered Media Corporation, along with our five expert photographic judges (Sharon Montrose, Erin Vey, Mark Asher, Grace Chon and Ixiana Hernandez) will choose the winners and honorable mentions based on photographic merit alone. Originality, theme, composition, lighting and technical quality are the criteria that will be used.
Notification
Winners will be announced on this site on December 1, 2008. Winners and honorable mentions will be notified by email or telephone within 7 days of their win. All entrants are encouraged to add the contest email address (displayed above) to their address book or approved senders list, to ensure timely notification.
Publication rights
Pampered Media Corporation reserves publication rights of the winning and honorable mention images for the ODP 2008 contest web site in perpetuity as well as possible use for promotion of future contests or print publication in an ODP yearly calendar.
Copyright and Ownership
Entrants must own all rights to the works submitted and are solely responsible for acquiring model or property releases, as applicable. As such, contestants hold the publisher and contest sponsors harmless from any breach of copyright in Canada, the USA, and elsewhere and from consequential litigation.
Acceptance of rules
Participation in the contest and submission of photos indicates complete acceptance of these contest rules.
Awarding of Prizes
Prizes will be awarded to the winners within six weeks of receiving the high-resolution version of their image.
