merry's wedding outfit
// 2009.08.27Many of you have asked, and now I'm sharing: this is Merry's outfit for the wedding. It wasn't planned, actually - I had been thinking something else entirely. But I received this dress a few months ago for review from Doggie Couture Shop. We'd already chosen black and white as the wedding colors - a damask print, to be exact - when this arrived and I fell in love head over heels and declared that we had to add turquoise to the wedding colors. :)
Merry will also be wearing a turquoise rhinestone collar (from this review; sadly this company is no longer in business) with a rhinestone dangle.
Sadly, she can't be in the ceremony as we're wedded-blissing at City Hall, but she will be there for the entire reception to charm guests and entertain small children. :)
For me - I found a truly fabulous dress. This is my second marriage and I had already gone the white princess ball gown route; this time I wanted something sleeker and more elegant (think more Oscars than wedding). So, I found a strapless floor length black gown; it has a wide black satin bow over the chest, then falls with a black jersey in soft draped lines all the way to the floor. The hubbytobe will be decked in a black suit, black shirt, turquoise tie. "Our" kids will also be in the wedding colors - my stepdaughter has a turquoise dress, and my stepson has black pants, black shirt, and a thin turquoise tie. And then miss Merry... in white and turquoise.
My touch of turquoise, you ask? Feathers, darling - my small bouquet is made of black ostrich feathers and black & turquoise guinea feathers wrapped in a turquoise ribbon.
Three weeks tomorrow!

OMG!!! this is just precious.........i love it. she is such a little angel. (i wish i could reach out and squeeze her. :)

Wicked! Can't wait to see everybody in their outfits!!! I love turquoise. If I didn't have red in my outfits, that'd probably be my 2nd choice! ;)

Merry has totally captured a princess moment, hasn't she? Thank you for the photo with Merry's outfit. You are kind to publish it.
Y'all will be so beautiful. Your bold use of black, white, and turquoise hits just the right note. It's the sophistication and elan I would expect of the mom of a couture wearing puglet. I am very intrigued and delighted by your bouquet!
XOXOXOXOXOXOX

Thank you so much for filling us in!!! I love that Merry's princess dress ended up adding in another layer of color! Question: Will you be taking pictures of the Big Day? Funnily enough, when I imagine you in your Oscar gown and turquoise, I picture you glowing with a large camera hanging around your neck!

We are Katie and Brenda of One Lucky Dog Couture and we are the designers of the dress. We are so flattered and thrilled that you redesigned your wedding colors around the " Tiffany Bleu Tutu Dress ". When we designed this dress, our thoughts were all about the beauty of the color - turquoise tulle and ribbon against the white of the top. The dress is so sweet yet elegant too and perfect for your little pug on this occasion. She looks adorable. Thank you . Look for our new fall collection at DoggieCouture Shop or on oneluckydogcouture.com.
