how do you reach?
// 2009.03.02Merry, crazy girl, how is it, with your (slender for a pug but yet still stocky, since you're a pug) figure you manage to twist your entire body around to scratch your ear with your back foot? Honestly, I can't sit with my legs straight out in front and touch my toes - ankles, sure, but toes are a wee bit beyond my reach.
On a side note, our favorite Great Dane ever, Gracie, suffered from bloat this weekend and had to have major tummy surgery. Luckily, she's recovering well at home, but stop by if you can and wish her well. Also not a bad time to educate yourself on bloat.

Merry you're not trying to scratch your ear. You are
trying to listen to your foot! Now that kind of flexibility is a lost art. You're so funny Merry!

I love love love when our pug scratches her ear - she does it ever so slowly and gently, then emits a series of snuffling noises as she sniffs the ear residue on her foot. Gross but so cute!

Pug feet smell like Fritos...really check it out!

You're right, Marci, I just checked Lucy's foot! I've also noticed that the top of her head smells like corn tortillas (I know, REALLY strange. I had my son and husband check it too and they agreed - corn tortillas. Hey, we're from Texas, different point of reference on smells I guess!)
