first snowfall
// 2008.11.20You know, I don't think we had real snow around here till January last year, but not so this year - we got 2-3 inches last night! The princess was highly unhappy about this, but I love the soft snow and bright sun and pretty snow-covered trees... and the excuse, of course, to break out one of the pug's best winter dog coats. Yay purple!
Happy Turkey Day weekend to all of our friends to the south! Clearly, I'd mixed up my Thursdays. But I've received so many emails from US businesses this week wishing me a Happy Thanksgiving, I just assumed! Sorry for jumping the gun, folks.
Psst... don't forget the Merry 2009 Catalog Calendar - would make a great holiday gift for the pug lover in your life.
Finally, thanks to everyone for their support while we wait for Merry's mast cell tumour surgery. Your comments have been really helpful in keeping me calm, hopeful and focused. :)

Hey Merry, you look precious in purple. XXOO

What is it about dogs and snow? It's a precious moment to see our little four-legged friends enjoying the cold white stuff. Merry looks eager to run and jump in it... and that coat looks like it will keep her snuggly warm!

You look so regal in purple my dear sweet Merry! We only had little snow flurries as of late in Northern Kentucky area. Cookie dog is curled up warm in her bed.

Sweetie-pie, you sparkle in purple.

The greatest thing about dogs is that they live life to the fullest - not worrying about surgeries, money and such; they move on and live life the best way they know how. Dogs (and especially Pugs as I'm learning from my own little pug fur baby) can really teach us about the important little things in life. Merry's one lucky and happy Pug. The purple's great - my boy has a purple snowsuit (cause no other colour was available) but don't tell him that. ;) Good luck Merry! :)
