play date
// 2008.11.03Merry and I had a wonderful play date yesterday at the park. I think I'm finally settling into a system that works for us - I sit at the bottom of a gentle hill, and throw the ball uphill - this way she can "sense" where to go to find the ball... as long as she's going uphill, she's going the right way. And back to Mommy means back down the hill. I can't throw the ball very far - maybe 8, 10 feet at most - otherwise she gets lost, but as long as I can be reliable about where I land the ball, she has a great old time and wanders off far less often.
Couple more shots from our playdate tomorrow, promise!
Sounds like a wonderful plan. I am glad Merry is enjoying it all. Playtime is funtime.

What a smart mommy you are! That makes perfect sense, too. Instead of relying on her eyes, she can use her sense of "up and down" to play with the ball. Oh I'm so happy this is working for the two of you! :)
