// 2008.09.11I loved the light streaming in behind her. So sweet. Taken a few days ago.
Miss Merry ran me a lovely chase this morning. :) She stumbled a bit on our walk, and then refused to walk on her left front paw. By the time I got her home and settled on the couch, she had huge muscle spasms running down her entire left leg - you could see the muscles working and her paw shaking up and down. She wouldn't let me ice it, nor could she sit still; her front leg just kept shaking her. Nor would she let me touch it much; she just kept pulling her leg away. So I made a quick appointment with the vet, grabbed a cab, and got the sucky little miss to the vet.
But Merry loooooves the vet. Because they always make a big fuss over her and her vet is fantastic and also, she gets liver treats which she never, ever gets at home. So as soon as we got there, she was all "Leg? What leg? I'm fine! I must lick everybody!".
Argh. :) Luckily she was fine, possibly a little strain or sprain. Her vet was kind enough to tell me it happens often - pets get adrenaline rushes when they get there, and that helps them to walk on paws that they specifically had said "OH HECK NO" to just minutes before. She gave us a mild pain reliever to give the little fussbudget in case she started favoring her paw again, and sent us home.
She's been mostly fine since we got home - favoring that side just slightly, but clearly not nearly as critical as she'd made it look for the half-hour or so after her walk. :)
You just decided you wanted Momma's undivided attention this morning, right pooch?

Oh my goodness. She feeds on attention! But that's why we love her, right?!

Oh Merry, I know it must have hurt like crazy. But it scared your mama. So try to let her know your not, like, going into seizures or anything.
Poor Angie. They can put us through the ringer, can't they?!
XXXOOO all around.

I am so happy to hear your vet loves Merry so much, my poor dog has had some bad times at the vet now she is so scared. I am getting a new vet.
I hope her little leg gets better real quick for more fun time play.
