now, Mom? now?
// 2004.07.07There's a difference between understanding something intellectually and being confronted with its reality. I tell you all that Merry is obsessed with fetch, and I tell my friends the same thing. And then they come over, and they see the obsession for themselves, and it's never quite the same. "She's just so focused on the ball!", they exclaim. Well, yes. I'm really not kidding. The pug is just mad, mad I tell you, for fetch. I've never seen the like.

I'll admit it, I am in love with Merry--don't tell Princess Roxy, my precious Boston Terrier. I am sure that Roxy would love Merry too if only seeing in 2 dimensions were a little easier. Perhaps one day Princess Roxy will have a Merry of her own and we will be a 2 Princi family.
I am thinking that both Pugs and Bostons have been miss-classified because Roxy loves to fetch too, so maybe a campaign to have them determined as "little retrievers" might be in order. MUST HAVE THE BALL...

Rebecca, you're too right! Must have the ball is the mantra. I'm considering getting a shirt made for Merry that says that very thing.
And Amy, good eye! Yes, that's the dregs of OPI's silver Pawlish on Merry's toes. It's her favorite color. Those interested in picking up some Pawlish for their own little doggie can buy some here:
