Sure, there are LOTS of specialty beds out there. But in our opinion, there is no company doing specialty beds like Pawsitively Posh does specialty beds. Their beds have some of the most innovative and fun designs we've ever seen - we loved the Slipper Bed and the Fab Imperial Bed.
You might say we were anxious, then, to test out one of their more recent designs: the Butterfly Dog Bed.
The bed is adorable - even more so upon close inspection. While it is a "standard" pillow bed in that it has no bolsters or nests, the bed is far from standard. It's custom-cut in the fantastic buttefly shape and then hand-crafted chenille is applied to it to make the butterfly come to life on the surface. This chenille is incredibly soft and wonderful for your pet to snuggle up to. The princess, of course, would have it no other way.
Made from soft pinks and mauves, the base of the bed is a bright white nylon. Its style would make it perfect for a sunroom or other area that gets lots of light. (We think it would also look spectacular in a cottage, or a solarium - that's where we keep ours!)
The entire cover is zippered and removable, machine washable and hang to dry. (A quick puff in the dryer with the heat off once the cover has dried should restore the chenille perfectly.) Oh, how we love the machine washable products in the pet world! (The princess can occasionally be a bit of a dirt magnet. Wonder why, with a body less than a foot off the ground?)
As with all Pawsitively Posh's bed designs, they also come up with a matching toy so that your pet can play in style! This bed's matching toy is a Flower toy, with the petals made from the very same chenille as the bed itself. It's adorable, stuffed not only with padding but some kind of crinkly paper that drives Merry wild when she hears it.
You can see for yourself (4th photo) that the princess pug thought the toy was pretty fun!
We just can't say enough good things about this newest bed from Pawsitively Posh. Once again, they've come up with a winner. It's a fantastic style, cute as a button, well made, washable, and extremely affordable to boot.
We can't wait to see what they come up with next! Four paws up!
