June Dog Photo Contest Winners

Punky's Mom says: “This is my pugger, Punky. Otherwise known as doodle, doodle bug, The Pug, pugface, and pugcake. Punky is adopted... we were her fourth home in five years. When she came into our family three years ago she was incredibly sick with ear infections and general neglect. Punky is deaf, which we suspect may be a result of the severity of her infections. She has had issues with vertigo, had a trip to the doggy er, and has been in ongoing treatment for her ear infections, but she is ridiculously good spirited about every moment of it. Punky has brought so much happiness into our lives, and she breaks my heart on a regular basis with her cuteness! She loves apples, hates the beach, will do anything for a car ride, and is a professional snorer.”

Montgomery Bear

Montgomery Bear's Dad says: “These are photos of our English Bulldog Puppy, Sir Montgomery Bear, he is now 11 weeks old and is the friendliest little fella in the world. He has a love for beef jerky and belly rubs. He also loves candlelight dinners (he likes to eat candles). We've been searching for a breeder for a while and game across this guy. We knew in a second he was the pup for us.”

He is such a sweet boy, and we couldn't imagine our lives without him.”

Dozer's Uncle says: “This is Dozer Butsko he is my sisters "baby" she wanted me to take pictures of him for her because he is getting older. Dozer, 10yrs. old, he loves to go swimming and on car rides. Dozer loves any kind of attention and loves all doggie treats, he doesn't really have a favorite toy because his younger brother, dudley, always steals what toy he has. he became part of my sister's life 10 yrs. ago when she was at a bonfire and he wandered out to socialize (his mom had just had pups and he strayed for a little adventure). it was love at first site and she brought his home the following week. Dozer has been through alot with my sister, and he has helped her through some pretty tough times; he is always at her side.”

Beezy's Mom says: “This is Beezy, my beautiful 75lb GSD. He's a cute troublemaker that likes to pretend he's half his size and curl up on you. I found him almost a year ago stranded and alone in the desert, and since then he's bounced back and given me back all the love he's received and more. He loves to play ball, go for walks, play at the beach, really anything that involves playing haha. He has a quirky way of cocking his head when you talk to him, it makes him look like he actually understands you it's cute.”

Dog on a Hog

The Photographer says: “ My girlfriend works at a Las Vegas news station and one of the reporters did a story about a beagle that rides a motorcycle with his owner. After seeing the story air on the news I recognized them cruising down the Las Vegas Strip one day. The dog was so happy and relaxed on that motorcycle I had to stop and take a photo. He has his own gear and the owner says he takes him everywhere on that bike. I have 3 dogs of my own, and grew up with a beagle so it really amused me to see that 'dog on a hog'!”
