February Dog Photo Contest Winners

Beanie's Mom says: “This is 2.5 year old Long Coat Chihuahua, Beanie Bear. Beanie is a Canine Good Citizen and a Certified Therapy Dog, and most of all, the happiest most loving little girl in the world. All she wants is to give and get love. Except for a slight case of kleptomania (dollar bills are a special favorite), she's perfect!”

Hunter's Mom says: “This is Hunter....he is a 3 year old Labrador retriever. We adopted him from a breeder and it was love at first sight. He is very affectionate and loves to be with people and dogs. He loves swimming, playing in the snow, and going for walks. He loves to carry anything in his mouth, in fact if we leave something on the floor he will find it. He will never pass up a meal or his treats. ”

Pan's Mom says: “This is Panic, a 2.5 year old border collie. Pan came from a rural shelter in Indiana as a stray. He was severely underweight, his fur was stained, and he didn't know anything. Now he's a well adjusted boy that loves his frisbee and playing agility!”

Hailey's Mom says: “Hailey is a 6 year old chihuahua. She isn't the typical chihuahua either. She's not shy or timid. She goes to the dog park to meet new people rather than other dogs. She befriends anyone or anything that comes her way. She's my social butterfly. She always has to be in my lap and get attention. I can't help but spoil her.”

Bogey's Mom says: “This is Bogey she is a 5 year old Australian Koolie. She loves to go swimming, playing frisbee, and sleeping to her humans bed. Her favorite treat is chicken jerky or t-bones. Bogey came to our family when she was about a year and half. She was adopted and we are her 3rd family. She has been the best dog ever and she even starred in a commercial as well.”

Cody's Mom says: “Cody is a eight month tea cup chihuahua who enjoys eating baby carrots and pumpkin. No, he is not a vegetarian but has an affinity to veggies. Oh, it should also not go unmentioned that we try and limit his protein intake as he also has an affinity to worms. Our pup enjoys the outdoors, playing in the leaves and fetching for his infinite number of toys. We have high hopes for Cody as he has begun obedience training and works towards his dog therapy certification.”

Mochi's Dad says: “ Mochi became part of our family about 2 months ago when she was only 9 weeks old. She loves playing and sleeping with her plush dog and will do anything you want for food. She's the first pug we've had in the family and probably the most adorable and loving dog we've had too. She tilted her head right at me as I took this picture of her sunbathing in our kitchen.”

Monty's Mom says: “This is Monty, the sweetest creature I've ever known! Monty was a 10 week old rescue I found at Maricopa County Animal Care and Control. When I saw him and instantly fell in love, and despite my husbands desires to raise a puppy while we both attend college, I brought him home. He is now 1 1/2 and has been the joy of our lives ever since. Monty's favorite toys are stuffed animals. He absolutely loves to chew on natural rawhide dog bones. He is happiest when he is wrestling our cat Sunny, they are the same age and partners in crime.”
