December Dog Photo Contest Winners

Suki's Dad says: “She will turn 10 years old the day after Christmas 2008. She weighs 5 pounds. In this photo her fur has been trimmed so she's not so bushy and doesn't overheat in the Florida sun. She loves to pose for photos but her favorite thing is to play fetch with her very small toys. Her favorites are tiny stuffed characters from the Winnie the Pooh collection; Eeyore and Tigger. She can play fetch all day long. She acts just like a person and is truly my little daughter.”

Buddha's Dad says: “My dog's name is Buddha. He's a native Californian who loves to sunbathe. He loves chasing after squirrels and enjoyed cuddling between legs. Such a sweetheart -- he got his name (Buddha) from his strip of white hair on his chest from birth... soo wise!”

Bailey's Mom says: “In our opinion, we are the luckiest people in the world to have been blessed with Bailey. She came into our lives about 4 months ago and our lives will never be the same. Not only is she the most loveable little girl ever (I have never heard her growl) but she loves to play and run and cuddle and kiss. Her current favorite toy is an alien head like squeaky toy sans the squeak because she chewed it out. It is difficult to keep toys for too long, because she loves to chew (she is still in the puppy stage). We have had numerous people tell us to send her picture to Disney, she belongs in the movies... but we wouldn't want to lose her to show business.”

Her favorite thing in the world is playing with her big "brother" Bear, a big lab mix, who is equally smitten with her. I love my girl to pieces. ”

Quinn's Mom says: “This is Quinn... she's three months old and is a husky/golden retriever/spaniel mix. I adopted her from the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society one month ago and we've been inseparable since. Quinn loves to go for walks with me or play in the backyard. Her favorite toys are anything that squeaks and her "keys" (the plastic teething toys for puppies). Quinn has three feline siblings and she enjoys playing with them. I'm not certain the kitties enjoy playing with Quinn though!”
