September Dog Photo Contest Winners
Nearly 1400 photos submitted this month! It's getting tougher and tougher to judge these contests - the photos submitted are just getting better every month. As always, only ten dog photos could win. Many of other excellent photos made our honorable mentions for the contest - be sure to stop by and see them.

Puccini's Mom says: “This is my little boy, Puccini. I followed Pucci from birth (on the breeder's website) to when he arrived at 7 weeks old with baited breath! I've never had a little dog before and I was so nervous. But I'm very happy I have him - he's wonderful. He's a year and a half old, and so stuffed full of personality that he'd explode if he had any more! He loves his pigs ears, carrots, chasing balls (but not really bringing them back), hiking and laps! And more laps! Oh, and his mommy too.”

Millie's Mom says: “This is Millie, my 5 year old rat terrier. As you can tell she loves napping in the sunbeams this time of year. She is always on alert with one ear listening to what's Going on indoors & one ear listening to the outdoors. She's so sensitive to sounds that I think she could hear a shadow coming to the door. Millie loves to play ball, and run. Peanut butter, fruits and veggies are her favorite treats.”

Bella's Mom says: “I adopted Bella from the animal shelter when she was 7 months old, and she'll be 7 years old in October! I'm so thankful to have her in my life and I love her to bits!”

Though he does refuse to swim without his lifejacket. Good thing, because he would probably sink. He LOVES car rides and like a baby; he often falls asleep soon after hitting the road.”

Angus's Dad says: “Our mixed chocolate Lab Wallace recovered after a year long battle from the often fatal Blastomycosis, a fungal infection that infected his lungs and nervous system. He lost 20 pounds, and had to have one eye removed. To boost his spirits and to keep him company we decided to get him a little brother. So we found a yellow Lab, for him, Angus (pictured in the photo). They have become the best of friends and Wallace is much happier. So are we.”
