|Article Author: Dog Grooming Review - A Merryvaluation by Angie McKaig |
Merry, princess pug and resident product reviewer 'round these parts, asked for help with this review from her good buddy Eli. Eli, with his long golden tresses, was able to help give us the "scoop" on True Blue Pets' EasyComb Detangling Spray.
Made from aloe, lavender, jojoba and panthenol, EasyComb Detangling Spray says it makes "brushing a breeze" and helps to keep your dog's coat smooth and shiny.
The spray comes in a bottle with 12 full ounces (plenty to do MANY brushings, Eli's owner Juliana assured us after trying out the product). But how does it work?
The verdict, says Juliana, is an enthusiastic four paws up:
I even used it on his paws where he has bad knots (because he hates me brushing them!) and it helped me comb some out. It also smells really good and overall it made Eli's hair look excellent.
I am completely serious when I say that after I used it, I took Eli for a walk and FIVE separate people stopped and asked me if Eli just got groomed! What's that retro television commercial... "if a stranger suddenly gives you flowers - that's impulse"? Well that was Eli being stopped and admired by many fans.
The second item up for review this month from True Blue was their Super Easy Ear Wipes. The container holds 50 pads premoistened by an all-natural botanical blend to help clean your pet's ears.
The "botanical blend" contains lemon, marigold, peppermint leaf extract, green tea and aloe. The lemon helps to clean dirt away, the marigold helps to soften and soothe the delicate tissues inside your pet's ears.
I found that these, like all the premoistened-pad products available from True Blue Pets, to be really handy and of excellent size and thickness to get the job done. The princess pug never enjoys getting her ears cleaned but these weren't too bad - maybe the softness of the pads helped to chill her out a bit about the process.
I love the convenience of this True Blue product. They're easy to use and it would be a cinch to pop a few in a plastic baggie for travelling (make sure you label it well though - especially if you're bringing other True Blue pads like the teeth cleaner and eye cleaner - wouldn't want to mix them up!).
